She was the first lady letter carrier with the US Post Office in the city of Cedarburg. Six years ago when her health began to fail, she moved to West Bend to live with her daughter, Judy, and her husband, Joel. She enjoyed reading the Bible, doing 'fancy work' and making blankets for the Linus Project of Washington County. She moved to Kathy Hospice on August 27, 2011.
