Beatrice C. Blank (Nee Hilgart)

Beatrice Clara Blank (Nee Hilgart) of Salem, IN; formerly of Sanibel, FL and Grafton, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 16, 2017 at the age of 88. Beatrice was born in Grafton, WI on May 27, 1929 the daughter of the late William and Iona (Nee Graff) Hilgart. In September of 1948, Beatrice and her late husband Alvin H. were united in marriage at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton. Beatrice was a member of St. Isabel Catholic Church in Sanibel, FL where she resided for many years. Beatrice enjoyed crossword puzzles, Yahtzee, Solitaire, creating Christmas Ornaments (Styrofoam balls with beads and gems), crocheting and caring for her flower gardens. Most importantly, Beatrice loved spending time with her family and friends. Beatrice is survived by her children: Mary Louise (Ted) Royer, Ruth Ann Brown, Carol Jean (Jay) Allen, Betty Jane Bowers and Cindy Lou (Christopher) Yatchak; Grandchildren: Christine Alexandra Royer, Leandra Harris, Jayme (Mike Ferkowicz) Allen, Chloe Allen, Thomas Alvin Bowers, Adam Justus (Britney) Bowers, Brandon Dearth, Emily (Bobby) Asmondy and Mark Yatchak; Great Grandchildren: Karson & Kobe Harris; Maya & Aaron Ferkowicz; Ella & Kinsley Bowers; Hayden & Piper Asmondy; Brother James (Lucy) Hilgart; Sister Marilyn Clemins; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Beatrice was preceded in death by her Son-In-Law George Bowers; siblings: William Hilgart, Valeria Hilgart, Marceline Paulin, Marvel Eernisse, Frances Hilgart and Beverly Proefrock. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 – 5:30 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 3:30 PM – 5:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of your choice and are appreciated.
