Barbara A. Thompson

Barbara A. Thompson, 80, was called and taken by God to her eternal home in Heaven on Friday September 14, 2018. Born in Viroqua Wisconsin on January 15, 1938 to Bernard and Alvia Johnson. She leaves behind her loving husband of over 60 years, Neil. The beloved mother of four sons: Brett (Mary Lou), Bruk (Ann), Brad (Lori) and Andrew (Christa). Loving grandmother to Gunnar, Tannar, Joshua and Sydney. Further survived by a sister Faye (Dale) Billeb and two brothers, Paul (Lois) Johnson and Fred (Sandy) Johnson. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister in law Donald (Betty) Johnson, and a brother in law James Thompson. A graduate of Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, she married her beloved husband Neil in West Allis on March 1,1958. Barbara was honored to be the first secretary-treasurer at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School at its founding in 1974. For over 50 years she was a faithful member of David's Star Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kirchhayn (Church in the Woods). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 – 2:00 PM at David's Star Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 2740 David's Star Drive Jackson WI. Interment Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 Noon – 1:45 PM. Memorials to David's Star Evangelical Lutheran Church or Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School are appreciated.
