Arlene C. Polzin, of Cedarburg, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Lasata Care Center, in Cedarburg, at the age of 94 years.
Arlene was born on September 5, 1930, in the town of Cedarburg, the daughter of the late William Moldenhauer and the late Clara (nee Laubenstein) Moldenhauer. She later graduated from Cedarburg High School with the class of 1948. Arlene was united in marriage to Roger Polzin on June 5, 1954, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Cedarburg. Together their marriage was blessed with five children, Mark, David, Sharon, Lori, and Holly.
Arlene was a faithful and dedicated employee at Lasata Care Center for over 30 years. Upon her retirement, Arlene stayed faithful to Lasata and their residents by volunteering for the next 20 years. She was a lifelong faithful member at Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Cedarburg, where she was baptized, confirmed, and married.
Arlene is survived by her loving children: Mark (Christine) Polzin, David (Nancy) Polzin, Sharon (Jim) Ziemer, Lori Polzin and Holly Hupfer; grandchildren: Anne (Luke) Palmer, Becky (Jeff) Schultz, William Polzin, Paul (Katie) Ziemer, Jenny (Niles) George, Allison Hyatt, and Michael Polzin; great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Adam, Lydia, Elijah, Henry, and Brooklyn, and sister-in-law, Diane Treat. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband, Roger Polzin.
The visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, in Cedarburg. There will also be another visitation on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 12 Noon, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Cedarburg. The Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Immanuel Cemetery, in Cedarburg. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg or to the Ozaukee County 4-H Foundation are appreciated.
