Anthony J. La Loggia “Jim” passed away on January 1, 2018 at the age of 49 after battling Multiple Myeloma for 6.5 years. Jim was born on June 11, 1968 to Anthony and Joyce La Loggia in Brookfield, Wisconsin; graduated from Whitefish Bay High School, and most recently lived in Brown Deer. Jim had a love for the Great Lakes, specifically lighthouses and shipwrecks. Other passions included music, reading, hockey, sailing, and vacationing in Door County. Jim completed a Chemistry undergraduate degree at UW Milwaukee and graduate degree at North Dakota State in Fargo. He worked for MilliporeSigma for 22 years, most recently in Quality Assurance. Jim was the loving husband of Brigette (Nee Bunke); proud father of Nick; dear son of Anthony; loving brother of Thomas and Julia. He was the dear son-in-law of Janice “Mickey” Bunke; honored brother-in-law of Doug Tank, Brenda (Tom) Joyce, Brian (Vicki) Bunke, Brett (Mark) Bunke, and Nicole (Joe) Gurlusky; proud uncle of James (Ha) Tank, Sara (Rene) Ornelas, Tony Kuney, Mitch and Maddie Gurlusky, and Grace and Caroline Bunke. Jim is further survived by many other loving relatives and friends that will also dearly miss him. Jim was preceded in death by his loving mother Joyce (Hoepfner); dear siblings Scott and Kathy. Jim, Brigette, and Nick would like to express their endless gratitude to Dr. Hari and the Froedtert Cancer Center staff for their tireless care and efforts. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 – 6:00 PM at Holy Family Parish 4825 N. Wildwood Ave. Whitefish Bay, WI. Family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 3:00 PM – 5:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Nick's Education Scholarship Fund which may be directed to Brigette or any Wells Fargo Bank would be greatly appreciated.
