Alvin C. Mantel

Alvin C. Mantel entered into Eternal Life on December 4, 2007 at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, at the age of 70 years. A visitation was held on Friday December 7, 2007 from 3-6PM at Faith Lutheran Church in Germantown. Entombment took place at Wisconsin Memorial Park on Saturday, December 8, 2007. The funeral service was held at Faith in Germantown, at 6PM on Friday, December 7, 2007. The Rev. Thomas Kaul officiated the funeral service. Memorials of your choice are appreciated. For online condolences please go to www.muellerfuneralhome.com. Alvin Mantel was born on December 27, 1936 in Milwaukee, to the late Adolph Mantel and the late Julia (nee Tanel) Mantel. Al graduated from Grafton High School and later married Patricia Dowe at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Lakefield, on May 19, 1954. Their marriage was blessed with three children. Al was the owner and operator of Mantel Machine Products where he had worked since 1951. Al semi-retired from the business in February of 2007. His three children now run the family business. Al truly loved bowhunting and was a member of OJIBWA. When he couldnt hunt on his land in Split Rock, Al enjoyed woodworking, but his true love was spending time with his family at their lake home in Pardeeville. Al was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Germantown for the past 40 years. Al was also a history buff. He enjoyed listening and talking about all kinds of history especially at the Rose Harms Post in Grafton at their monthly meetings. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
