Alice M. Hoffmann

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, February 19, 2010, 1PM at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church in Cedarburg, for Alice Hoffmann who passed away at the Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington, on February 15, 2010, at the age of 81 years. A visitation will take place on Friday, prior to the Funeral Mass, at the church from 12 Noon 1PM. Father Tom Eichenberger will conduct the Funeral Mass. Interment will take place following the Funeral Mass at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg. Memorials to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church are appreciated. For online condolences please go to www.muellerfuneralhome.com. Alice was born on August 22, 1928, in Medford, Wisconsin, to the late August Berger and the late Mathilda (nee Zimmerman) Berger. She attended Flat Meadow Elementary School in Deer Creek Township and went on to graduate from Medford High School. She later married August Hoffman on December 13, 1958, in Milwaukee. Alice attended a nursing school in Minnesota where she became an L.P.N. Nurse. Alice worked for the Milwaukee County Hospital in the labor and delivery ward, and later worked as an in-home care nurse for the elderly. She enjoyed her work as a nurse, but she also enjoyed gardening and sewing. Alice is survived by her husband, August Hoffmann, and siblings, Jim Berger, Mary Ann Fillipiak, and Estelle Oldenberg. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Norman Berger.
