Alfreddie “Fred” G. Nash Fred was born on August 25th, 1948 in Milwaukee WI. He graduated from Rufus King High School, class of 1966. He continued his education first, by graduating with a business degree from Bryant and Stratton College. He then attended Concordia Milwaukee , and after 2 years matriculated to Concordia Nebraska where he met his wife who he then married in 1974. Their marriage had to be approved by her late brother, who then told her “you better marry him because he is one of a kind!” Their marriage was blessed with 2 sons and 2 daughters ( 1 daughter died in infancy). Fred’s Concordia degrees were in the field of Education, which he utilized as an Milwaukee Public School teacher and Science Specialist from 1973-2005 Fred was an outstanding basketball player (rebounder) and Hall of Fame Inductee in both High School and college who therefore supplemented his teaching by coaching at both the High School and College level. When he wasn’t busy coaching, he enjoyed playing his bass guitars, fishing, listening to music, collecting vintage cars, horseback riding and golf. Fred’s blunt honesty and straightforward nature made him deeply loved and respected by family and friends . He was a big man with a personality that matched his height…always joking and making people laugh. He will be greatly missed by his deeply saddened family, friends, and community. Fred is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 51 years, Michele (Payne) Nash. Sons Alfreddie (Ginny) Nash, Krayton (Erin ) Nash, and daughters Kyla Gengler nee Nash (Randy), and Kimberly Stephens. Grandsons: Ezekiel , Kamden, Noah, Miciah. Michael, Joiakim, and granddaughter Ariel. He is further survived by his Sisters Mary Nash, Barbra Young, Henrietta McGee, Audrey (Johnny) Barton, Beverly Johnson, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
