Alfred L. 'Al' Schlecht Of Grafton, August 18, 2012 age 81 yrs. Beloved husband of Haidee “Dee” (Nee Kipps). Loving father of Sue (Lee) Lurquin, Paul (Kathy), Steven (Sherri), Michael (Virginia Kuhn), Peter (Thu Anh) and Kathy (Ron Bruns) Schlecht. Loving grandfather of Kaitlin and Ryan Lurquin; Leah, Anna and Maria Schlecht; Alex Schlecht; Eric and Melissa Jensen; Samantha and Coco Schlecht. Further survived by 3 sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alfred was preceded in death by his sister Rose and his brother Richard. Al was a graduate of Marquette University, served in the United States Navy and employed by Moebius Printing Co. as a sales executive for 37 years. He also served on almost every Committee of the Village of Grafton Board over the past 37 years including: Finance, Public Works, Public Safety, Board of Review, Community Activities, CATV, Plan Commission and the Joint Town of Grafton –Village of Grafton Ad-Hoc Committee. Past president International Institute of WI. Appointed to the Milwaukee River Revitalization Board and was an Eagle Scout. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, August 21, 6:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St. Grafton. Interment Church Cemetery. Visitation at the church Tuesday 4:00 – 5:45 PM. Memorials to Los Toros Foundation, 209 W. Cedar St. Grafton, WI 53024. The family would like to give special thanks to Lori Cook RN of the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association and Zilber Family Hospice.
