Alan “Al” J. Schoettlin


Of Cedarburg, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 7, 2024, at the age of 95. He was born in Lucca, North Dakota, to his late parents, Oscar and Alma (nee Sprockhoff). He was united in marriage with Jean (nee Koloske) and together, their marriage was blessed with one son, Gordon.


After graduating High School, Alan enlisted himself into the United States Army. Throughout Alan’s life, he enjoyed puzzles, cribbage, cutting his grass, watching and playing sports, and fishing. But his one true hobby was spending time with his family and friends.


Alan is survived by his son, Gordon (Holly); two granddaughters, Jamie and Lindsay; great grandchildren, Lemon and Erie; and further survived by many friends, and family.


He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Jean.


There will be a funeral service held for Alan at Wisconsin Memorial Park in the Chapel of the Chimes on June 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM till 10:45 AM. Private entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park following the service. In memory of Al, please arrive at the funeral in comfort and casual clothing. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice are appreciated.
