A. Chris Austin

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2:00pm at Grafton Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, 979 N. Green Bay Road, Grafton, for Saukville resident A. Christopher Austin, “Chris” who passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the age of 73 years at Heritage Nursing Home. Rev. William Ronzheimer will be officiating and Military Honors will follow. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 12:30pm to 1:45pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alliance Bible Church or Unitarian Church North appreciated. Chris was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 9, 1943, the son of the late H. Russell and Delores (nee Dunbar) Austin. Chris was proud to serve his country in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1968. Chris married Carma and they were blessed with 3 sons. Carma has preceded Chris in death. On June 2, 1991 Chris was united in marriage to Lois Vondross at Unitarian Church North. Chris enjoyed salmon fishing on Lake Michigan and in Door County. He loved traveling and was an avid shutterbug. He enjoyed tent camping with his family and they went to every state in the US except Hawaii. He was a photo journalist for WTMJ 4 for 38 years. Chris was at the Ice Bowl in Green Bay where he photographed the whole game from the top of the stadium. His family has too many photographs to count. Chris is survived by wife; Lois, sons; Geoff (Susan), Karl (Debrann) and Andy, grandchildren; Braeden (Amanda) and Jerin Austin, great-grandchild; Noah Austin, brothers; Richard (Sage) and Steve Austin, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife; Carma, parents; H. Russell and Delores and step-mother, Dorothy Austin.
