Yvonne VanTreeck passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Monday, August 17, 2020 at age 91. Heaven gained another angel as Yvonne was reunited with her soulmate Marvin. She was born November 16, 1928 in Random Lake, WI to Peter and Johanna (Kirst) Kies. She married Marvin Van Treeck on Nov. 15, 1947 and raised 7 children during her almost 60 years of marriage. She had 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She lived a happy life and was always surrounded by family. Christmas was a big event every year and always at her house. Family was the most important thing to her and the rest of the Van Clan. She was a nurse’s aide at both St Alphonsus Hospital and Heritage Nursing Home. She was also a member of the Silver Bells Dance Group. She loved singing and we closed our sibling Zoom meetings with her singing “He’s got the whole world in his arms”. It is now the Van Clan theme song. She loved to travel and was especially fond of cruises. She was on 14 Van Clan family cruises Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents Peter & Johanna Kies, her husband Marvin, her 2 sisters Ellen (George) Binsfield and Rosalia (Jerry)Hammond, her sisters-in-law Mary Ann Kies, LaVerne Depies, and Bernice Lanser, her brothers-in-law George Binsfield & Jerry Hammond, Arnold Lanser, and Edwin Depies, her daughters-in-law Gail and Beverly Van Treeck, her grandson Bryan, and her granddaughter Robin. Yvonne is survived by her 7 children Thomas (Beverly), Connie (Ed) Moder, Michael (Gail), Phillip (Connie), Joseph (Sandy), Marvin, Jr. and Mary Beth (Chuck) Hartwig, 15 of her grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Roy and Robert Kies, sister-in-law Doris Kies, brother-in-law Eugene Van Treeck and Further survived by other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21st 2020 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1619 Washington St, Grafton, WI 53024). Entombment will be at Washington County Memorial Park.
