Willard Nieman, of Cedarburg, was called home to his Lord and Savior, on August 26, 2017, at the age of 87 years. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, 5:30PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, (W61 N498 Washington Ave.), in Cedarburg, with the Rev. Vicki Simon officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service, on Wednesday, at the church, from 4PM until 5:15PM. Entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church are appreciated. Willard was born on February 15, 1930, the son of the late Roland and the late Alinda (nee Mueller) Nieman. He graduated from Cedarburg High School, in 1948. He then went to University of Wisconsin Madison, but came home to work before he could graduate. Willard was united in marriage to Audrey, on April 7, 1951, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Cedarburg. Shortly after their wedding, he was deployed during the Korean War. Willard and Audrey were the owners and operators of Nieman Apple Orchards on Bridge Street, in Cedarburg, which is now run by their son, Bob. They could be found on the farm harvesting their fresh apples, or selling their produce at the West Allis farmer’s market. Willard is survived by his children, Carol (John) Thorston, of Omaha, NE, Bob (Liz) Nieman, of Cedarburg, and Kathy Rex, of Random Lake; and grandchildren, Jessica (C.J.), Ashley (Andrew), Sammi, Katie, Jacob, Kyle (Kaci), Aaron, and Nic. He is further survived by 5 great-grandchildren, sister, Dorothy (Harold) Schoessow, other relatives and friends.
