Walter C. Lenz

Devoted husband, loving family man, successful businessman, man of humor, and friend to many, Walter C. Lenz, 91, passed away on August 5, 2018 at Lasata Care Center. Wally was born on July 1, 1927 in Milwaukee to Walter August and Eleanor Kiefert Lenz. He served his country in the US Army during World War II and married his high school sweetheart, Jane D. Smith in 1949. Wally owned and ran a successful tile distributing company for many years. Later in his life Wally and Jane enjoyed international travel and spending countless winters with family and friends at Fort Myers Beach. He was the beloved husband of Jane Lenz for 69 years and loving father of Terri Smale (Jeff) and Tom Lenz (Joe). Wally was the cherished grandpa of Ryan (Becky), Lindsay (Joel), Katie (Greg), Kevin (Heather), and Topher. Great grandpa of Molly, Sam, Ellie, Annie, Lauren, Madelyn, Mia, Tessa, Gretta, and Camilla. Uncle, cousin and friend to many. He will always be remembered for his kind and gentle demeanor, his wisdom, and generosity. We will miss you, Ti! A private family service will be held. His family would like to send a very special thank you to all of the remarkable staff at Lasata Care Center, who gave Wally their love and care for two years. He loved you all and appreciated everything you did for him.
