Viola P. Sievers

Viola P. Sievers (nee Borchardt) of Grafton, died peacefully in her home with family by her side on December 6, 2021, at the age of 100. Viola was born on March 24, 1921, to Walter Borchardt and Ida (nee Benz) in the Town of Milwaukee. Viola worked on her family’s farm in her early years while also working for Gilbert’s Shoe factory. She continued to farm for many years with her husband Elmer after being united in marriage on June 3, 1944, at St. John’s Lutheran Church Lakefield, WI. Later in life, Viola went on to clean homes and work within several factories as a press operator for Louis Scheer Factory, Great Lakes Die Casting and Enercon. When her husband passed away in 1982, Viola became a homemaker while living with her daughter Janice Boudnik and her family for 36 years. Viola enjoyed dancing to polka music, playing sheepshead, gardening, and planting lots of flowers, specifically roses. Viola is survived by her daughter Janice (John) Boudnik; grandson David Boudnik; along with other relatives and friends. She is preceeded in death by parents Walter and Ida Borchardt, husband Elmer W. Sievers; siblings and siblings-in-law: Elmer (Ella) Borchardt, Harvey (Rosie) Borchardt, Florence (Ray) Haas and Meta (Walter) Juedes. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 - 1:00PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, W61N498 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg. Visitation will be held 12:00 PM to 12:45PM.
