Thomas E. Frank Born July 25, 1933 and passed away surrounded by his children on August 13th, 2015. Tom was born and raised in Cedarburg, Wisconsin and graduated from Cedarburg High School in May 1951. Within a year of graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps, the beginning of a life-long dedication to his country. He proudly served in the Marines, seeing active duty during the Korean War, after which he joined the Air Force Reserves, became a flight engineer, and transitioned into a civil defense engineer career. Dad met Mom on a blind date in May 1962 and they were married on December 29th, 1962 in Minneapolis, MN. They were married for 47 years and raised 5 children. Dad and Mom were loyal parishioners of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg. Dad’s enjoyments in life were spending time with family and friends, gardening, playing Sheepshead, hunting, fishing on Lake Michigan, Lake Erie and in Canada, vacationing at his beloved Pincherry Lake, traveling with Mom to Hi-Lo camping gatherings and wintering in Weslaco, Texas, traveling to Europe, attending air shows and especially participating in American Legion Activities. After retirement, he was a dedicated and much-loved volunteer for the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He also enjoyed driving the senior van and caring for his grandchildren. Beloved husband of the late RoseMarie Frank. Loving father of five children and proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren. Dawnmarie (Stephen) Gorman Frank of Milwaukee, WI; Scott (Amy) Frank of Fredonia, WI, Lance (Jessica) Frank of Stevens Point, WI, Bridget (Eric) Nagorsen of Belgium, WI; and Valerie (John) Aspenleiter of Jackson, WI. Nine loving grandchildren, Sophia (17), John III (“Jeep”) (14), Elijah (8), Audrey (14), Ava (11), Adriana(11), Annemarie (7), Rohan (2), and Thomas(1). Dear brother of Bernice (the late Bud) Miser of Port Washington, WI. Cherished brother-in-law of Ruth Frank. Preceded in death by sisters; Audrey (the late Ken) Zwickey, Monica (the late Dick) Tillman and brothers; Glenn (the late Eunice) and Richard Frank. Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors, colleagues and comrades who were touched by his generosity, zest for life and love. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church (SOUTH) at 12:00pm (Noon) with visitation at church Wednesday from 11:00 am to 11:45 am. Burial to follow at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will also be held Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Cedarburg Mueller Funeral Home from 4pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Legion Post 288 in Cedarburg.
