Thomas B. Buttles Born to Eternal Life on November 2, 2014 .Devoted husband of Leslie, loving father of Jonathan (Lindsey) and Mark (Heidi) and dear grandpa of Harper and Eleanore “Ellie” Buttles. Survived by his brother Dr. Anson (Shirle) Buttles and sisters-in-law Janet (Thomas) Rylander, Judith Coyle, and Carol Porter. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Anson and Jean Buttles and brothers-in-law Ralph Porter and Paul Coyle. Tom was born and raised in Milwaukee. He attended Nicolet High School, Georgetown University where he met his wife Leslie and the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves 84th Division from 1966 to 1972. In 1975, Tom joined Robert W. Baird where he was employed for 35 years. Known as “Mr. Operations”, Tom made many professional and personal friends in his role as Client Services Director. Tom enjoyed many outside interests with a special affection for reading, travel, his 1972 Skylark convertible and the Green Bay Packers. His proudest moments were spent with his family and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Aurora Cancer Clinic in Grafton, St. Luke’s Hospital (12T) and the Lawlis Family Hospice for the special care given Tom during his moments of need. Per Tom’s wishes, funeral arrangements will be private. Donations to The Salvation Army, Tom’s favorite charity, are greatly appreciated.
