Terrence "Terry" L. Emmrich

Terrence “Terry” L. Emmrich Of Port Washington, peacefully passed away August 22, 2015 at the age of 66 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon, WI. A Gathering of family and friends will be held at Peter Wollner American Legion Post# 288, (W57 N481 Hilbert Ave), Cedarburg, WI, Saturday, September, 5, 2015, visitation from 2-3PM, with a 3PM service concluding with military honors. Memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated. For online condolences please visit www.muellerfuneralhome.com. Terry was born August 15, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI to Harold and June (nee Darrow) Emmrich. He grew up in a close, loving family that enjoyed large family reunions every summer for a week up North. Terry was a proud Army veteran decorated for his courageous service in the 1st Cavalry Division as a Medical Specialist in the Vietnam War. He received multiple medals for his many acts of bravery under fire such as the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, two Bronze Commendations and one Bronze Star. After his honorable discharge from the army, Terry worked as a machinist for Kickhaefer Manufacturing Company for almost 40 years. Truly dedicated to his work and the friendships forged through the years made it difficult for him to finally say goodbye and retire. Terry was an avid fisherman who was always looking for that trophy walleye, but no matter the size of the fish he caught it was never big enough to officially be called “Walter”, the largest walleye known to man. Terry was known for being a kind, caring man with a wonderfully, goofy sense of humor. His love and dedication to his family and friends is known by the many smiles he brought to their faces. Terry’s “can do attitude” and his showering affection will be missed by many. Terrence is survived by his 3 children Ryan (Karrie) Emmrich, Greg Emmrich, and Dawn (Jesse) Balogh. Dear brother of Larry (Sue) Emmrich, Cheryl (Bill) Carter and Diane (Don) Timm. Treasured brother-in-law of Grant (Diane) Pipkorn. Loving grandfather of Henry Emmrich, Lucien Yagodinski, Adelia Mae Emmrich, Gavin Emmrich, Julia Balogh, Ruby Mae Balogh. Cherished uncle of Jeffrey (Kelly) Carter, Tracey (Mark) Steier, Trisha (Wade) Kutchera, Cortney Nichols, Tyler (Erin) Timm, Kelsey Timm, Daniel Pipkorn, Joel Pipkorn, Kevin Pipkorn. Terrence is preceded in death by his parents Harold and June Emmrich, his sister Suzanne (nee Emmrich) Pipkorn, and nephew Bradley Pipkorn. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
