Sylvia H. Krueger (nee Graese) passed away peacefully at Harbor Club in Port Washington on Nov. 21, 2015 at the age of 82. Sylvia was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 1, 1933 the daughter of the late Erwin and Viola (nee Lueder) Graese. Sylvia grew up in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. She married Franklin Krueger in 1953 and became an Air Force Chaplain’s wife. Over the years they made their homes in Texas, Florida, France, South Dakota, Alaska, Michigan, Okinawa and Cedarburg. She created beauty through painting, weaving, stain glass, needle work, crafts and cooking. She was kind, caring, and the foundation of many lives. Sylvia welcomed everyone into her home and heart, setting another place at her table regularly. Helping was part of her nature, volunteering in areas such as the Red Cross and chapel activities. As a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she sang in the choir and generously served in many other capacities. She was a dedicated, supportive, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Sylvia lived her life by example with faith, grace, love and dignity. Sylvia is survived by her husband of 62 years, Franklin Krueger; Son Mark (Sue) Krueger; daughters: Renee Krueger, Lenore (Mike) Cira and Miriam (Robert) Rusch; Grandchildren: Annie (Mike) Grunwald , Charlie Krueger, Regina (Luke) Kolbow, Tim (Renee) Humpal, Maria Lewis, Ted Humpal, Theresa Cira, Nate Cira and Mat Cira; Great Grandchildren: Ian and Emmie Grunwald; Grant and Grace Kolbow; Wyatt, Sophie and Bryce Humpal; Sister Vivian (Ken) Janke; Sisters and Brothers in law: Gloria Kurtz, Doris Ahlers, Fredrick (Anna Mae) Krueger, Wayne (Lois) Krueger; and many other relatives and friends. Sylvia was preceded in death by: her Sister Laurel (Dale) Kressin; Grandson in law Wil Lewis, Parents in law Fred and Dona Krueger; Brothers in law Irwin Kurtz and Robert Ahlers. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 – 4:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church W61 N498 Washington Ave. Family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, December 22 from 2:00 PM – 3:45 PM. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Wisconsin Parkinson Association or the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
