Susan P. Woodward (nee Patzke) of Brookfield passed away peacefully on December 10, 2017 at age 64. Loving mother of Johnathan (Amber Noltemeyer) Woodward. Dear sister of Nancy (Thomas) Lampman. Beloved daughter of John (Nancy) Patzke. Preceded in death by her husband George S. Woodward, M.D. and mother Paulyn Patzke. Further survived by extended family and friends. Susan was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years, serving as an elder and volunteering her time and talents to hospitality. We will miss Susan's talents as a home chef and baker, particularly her famous Christmas cookies, sour cream coffee cake, and date nut bread. We will miss discussing the political news of the day with her. We will miss sharing in her favorite pastime--enjoying fantastic restaurants. The family sends heartfelt thanks to the fantastic registered nurses, assistants, and techs on 5NW, Jennifer Lindstedt APNP, Magdalena Walentynowicz PA-C, Jennifer Connelly MD, Wade Mueller MD, Malika Siker MD, the physical, occupational, and speech therapists, radiation oncology technicians, and everyone at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin who provided Susan and her family with world-class care and comfort over the past several months. The family also thanks Linda Zignego RN and all the nurses and CNAs at Lawlis Family Hospice for their care during Susan's final days. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, December 15 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 1100 N. Astor St., Milwaukee. The family will greet visitors at a reception to immediately follow in the church parlor. Please consider a memorial to a worthy cause; Susan would appreciate donations to the ACLU, to Immanuel Presbyterian Church, or to the Froedtert Hospital Foundation or the Medical College of Wisconsin designated to brain tumor research.
