Steven R. “Steve” Hare, of Grafton, Wisconsin peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, at the age of 72. Steve was born on September 4, 1949, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of the late James Robert “Bob” and the late Loretta Marie (nee Riecke) Hare. Steve grew up in Springfield, Missouri and graduated from Parkview High School. Steve served in the Navy and later in the Army Reserves. He moved to Wisconsin in 1969 and obtained Associate Degrees from MATC, Milwaukee and WCTC, Pewaukee. Steve worked as a designer/drafter for many years. On September 27, 1986, Steve and Sheri (nee Trombley) were united in marriage at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. Steve is survived by his wife, Sheri; sisters-in-law: Sande (Bob), Tami (Dan) and Traci (Brian) and brother-in-law Mark (Suzzette). He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a great-great nephew, all of whom were the joys in his life. He is also survived by a brother, Jim; aunts, uncles and many other special friends and relatives. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his mother-in-law and father-in-law. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 – 12:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church 701 Washington St. Grafton. Entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM – 11:45 AM. Rev. Luke Anderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Grafton or Family Sharing of Ozaukee County are appreciated.
