THE MEMORIAL GATHERING WILL BE RESCHEDULED DUE TO THE WEATHER. PLEASE CHECK BACK Shirley Doreen Hugdahl died January 11,2019. In Shirley’s words, “I have had a wonderful life of discovery and appreciation of the circle of life on this planet”. Shirley was born January 3, 1929 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to Edna and Clarence Bartz. She attended school in LaCrosse. Shirley and Wally were married in September 1952. They moved to Cedarburg in 1958. Shirley and Wally were avid sports fans and traveled with the Badger football team over the years. Shirley’s favorite memories were of times on the Mississippi River sandbars in LaCrosse. Shirley loved to garden and was always adding new plants to her yard. She enjoyed sewing and gave handmade quilts to her family. She loved baking and shopping for her home and garden. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Hugdahl, Mary Sobol (Peter) and Sarah Hugdahl (Rex Richardson), her grandchildren Devon Hugdahl (Pamela), Miles Richardson, Philip and Sarah Sobol, her great grandchildren, Lena and Iver Hugdahl. She is survived by her brother, Philip Bartz (Patti) and her nephew, Erik of LaCrosse. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wally Hugdahl, and her parents Edna and Clarence Bartz. An “Open House” reception will take place on January 28,2019 from 10:00-12:00 at the Cedarburg Art Museum, W63 N675 Washington Avenue.
