Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 12:00 (Noon) at First Immanuel Lutheran Church W67N622 Evergreen Blvd., Cedarburg for Scott A. Strommen of Cedarburg who died on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the age of 51 years. Private burial Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11:00am to 11:45am. Scott was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 15, 1965, the son of the late John and Helen (nee Thompson) Strommen. Scott was the youngest of 4 children and by the time he was 3 years old, his mom Helen died but Ruth Strommen came into his life and became his step-mom. Ruth later adopted all 4 children so she could call them her own. He was a 1983 graduate from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, Wisconsin. Scott was a skilled sailor, a scuba diver and an accomplished musician, playing his grand piano at home and also for parties and at the Grand Avenue Mall. His piano CD, “Spontaneous” was bought and loved by people all over the world. He was a Software Engineer and also a very patient teacher for friends who found computers confusing. Scott remodeled much of his house mostly on his own, with a little help from his friends. He had special spot in his heart for all of his nieces and nephews and went out of his way to support them. Scott was just an all around good guy. Survived by siblings; Linda (David) Johnson, Stephen (Joanne) Strommen and Mary (Don) LaPlant. Scott is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Johanna (Stephen) Meyer, Amanda Johnson, Trevor Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Zander Strommen, Emily LaPlant and Jedidiah LaPlant, great-niece and nephews; Lucas, Isaac and Emmaline Meyer. Further survived by cousins, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents John and Helen Strommen and Ruth Strommen.
