Ruth Margaret Kohlwey (nee Riemer) Of Grafton, March 9, 2012 at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of Otto, they were married October 5, 1957. They were blessed with four children: Heidi(Todd) Andrews, Waterloo; Amy Kohlwey, Grafton; Peter (Gloria) Kohlwey, Freedom; and Nell (Timothy) Frank, Cedarburg. Further survived by one grandson: Cristian Gonzalez of Freedom, brother: Otto Riemer, Galesville and sister-in-law, Marge Riemer, Hartland, many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Chicago. Ruth is preceded in death by her brother, Karl Riemer and her sister-in-law Patricia Riemer. Ruth was a 1945 graduate of Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, received her B.A. from Mount Mary College and her Masters Degree from University of Illinois. Ruth loved cooking and travel and her outreach efforts touched many lives. She was an active volunteer involved in many organizations over the years including; Ozaukee County Homemakers, St. Paul’s Sharing Table and St. Paul’s School Library, St. Mary’s Breast Cancer Awareness, Ozaukee County Farm Bureau Women, Master Farmers, the Covered Bridge 4-H Club and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. Ruth was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Grafton. Memorial Gathering Only on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (701 Washington St, Grafton) from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be directed to: Mount Lebanon Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Grafton and the Ozaukee County 4-H Foundation.
