Roverto L. Leon

Roverto (Bob) Leretto Leon, 93,

passed away peacefully with family by his side on November 9, 2024.

Loving father of Cynthia (Leon) Sladky and husband James, Christine (Leon) Tracy, Robert Leon and wife Wendy, Rick Leon, and Cheryl (Leon) Stecker and husband Michael; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also survived by his 2 sisters and a brother.

Bob and his wife Merle were happily married for 66 years until she passed away in 2018. Bob was a longtime resident of Cedarburg, WI for 69 years. He and his wife Merle were dedicated Members of St Francis Borgia-South Church since 1956. Involved with the Knights of Columbus, and volunteering for many church activities, functions, and charity work.

He was a proud veteran who served as a sergeant in the United States Army from 1948 to 1952. He served in Okinawa and Germany. He received a Good Conduct Medal. He was also a long-time member and volunteer of the American Legion, Cedarburg Peter Wollner Post 288.

Through the years he enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and golf. He especially enjoyed dancing with his wife Merle. Most important to him was his family. Up until he passed, he always wanted to make sure his children and grandchildren were taken care of. He will be truly missed by all of his family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church 1375 Covered Bridge Rd. Cedarburg on Saturday, November 23, 2024 – 1:00 PM with military honors immediately following mass at the church. Visitation will be held at the church on Sat. from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM with a Military Walk Through at 12:45PM. Private interment will be at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Peter Wollner American Legion Post #288.
