Ronald J. Smith

Ronald J. Smith, of Grafton, passed away suddenly, of a heart attack, at his home, on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the age of 61 years.

Ron was born on July 4, 1961, in Milwaukee, the son of the late William R. Smith and the late Violet B. (nee Brandt) Smith. He attended high school in Milwaukee and went on to further his education at M.A.T.C. to purse a degree in accounting. Shortly after attending M.A.T.C., Ron took a job working various roles at Bank One, in Milwaukee, where he would work for the next 21 years.

Ron took a new job working himself up to an account manager in the fraud division at Dental-Quest, which is now owned by Sun-Life. He was a faithful and dedicated employee for over 20 years up until his sudden passing.

Ron had a zest for life and truly enjoyed spending time with his many family and friends. His passing will create a void in the hearts of all who knew him and were touched by his contagious smile. Ron had a strong faith and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Grafton.

Ron is survived by his loving and devoted partner of 42 years, Chuck Aldenhoff, brothers: Donald Smith, Richard (Colleen) Smith, and Doug (Barb) Smith; and sister-in-law, Virginia Schroeder along with her family. Ron is further survived by his special friends, Dennis & Jill Haupt, Linda Lemanczyk, many other relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robert Smith.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, 4:00 PM at the Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, (979 N. Green Bay Rd.), Grafton. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Ron will be laid to rest next to his parents, at Highland Memorial Park, in New Berlin. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Heart Association or to the charity of your choice are appreciated.
