Ronald G. Lillyroot

Ronald G. Lillyroot of Cedarburg passed away Saturday September 19, 2020 at Lawlis family Hospice in Mequon at the age of 84 years. Ron was born in Milwaukee on August 10, 1936 to the late Clifford & Lois (nee Taylor) Lillyroot. On December 8, 1962 he was united in marriage to Ann Mehne in Almond, WI. Ron served in the U. S. Army from 1955-1958. He was employed by G. E. Medical Systems for over 40 years during this time he worked on the development team for the MRI and as a Scanning Electron Microscopist. Ron had a gentle nature, he was reserved, supportive, loved his family and attending his grandson’s events. He was also an avid reader and fisherman, who loved birds and dogs and listening to eclectic music. During his lifetime he supported the Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Federation, Sierra Club, Defenders of Wildlife, & the Smithsonian. Ron is survived by his children; Lynn (Tom) Borkenhagen, Sandy Lillyroot and Paul Lillyroot, sister; Mina Miller, grandchildren; Gavin, Kelton & Aiden Lillyroot, TJ & Josh Borkenhagen. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 26 2:00 P.M. at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd. Cedarburg. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 12 Noon to 1:45 P.M. Private entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Memorials to First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Federation, Sierra Club, Defenders of Wildlife, & the Smithsonian are appreciated.
