Roger L. Hubacek

Born to eternal life on December 23, 2015 at the age of 85. A celebration of Roger’s life will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish in Grafton, on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. A visitation will take place prior to the funeral mass at St Joseph’s Parish from 2:30 – 5:15 p.m. Father Mike Barrett will be presiding the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Joseph’s Parish or St. Joseph’s Parish School are appreciated. Roger was born on December 3, 1930 in Random Lake and grew up in Grafton. He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Parish School and graduated from Grafton High School, served in the National Guard, and continued his education to become an Industrial Electrician, working for Briggs & Stratton for 33 years. Roger married Betty (nee Reiter) on May 29, 1954. Their marriage was blessed with five children. Roger worked hard throughout his life and after retiring from Briggs & Stratton drove parts to and from vendors for Exacto Springs; a job he thoroughly enjoyed. While his boys were growing up he was involved with the Boy Scouts. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, bowling, researching the family tree, and watching his grandchildren’s sporting activities. Roger is survived by his wife Betty of 61 years; children Rick (Debra), Lisa Ohm (John), Randy (Helen), Lori Koziczkowski (Dan), the late Gary Hubacek, ten grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Further survived by his siblings, brother Bob (Marge), and sister Judy Theis (the late Peter Theis). He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Anna and his brother Louis Jr. Special thanks to Horizon Hospice and Craig Plopper of Mueller Funeral Home.
