Richard L. Rogers

Richard L. “Dick” Rogers, of Cedarburg, passed away on December 3, 2015, at Lasata Care Center, at the age of 86 years. A visitation will take place at the Mueller Funeral Home, in Cedarburg, on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, from 4PM until 7:30PM. A visitation will also take place on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at the Funeral Home from 10AM until 11AM followed by a funeral service officiated by Rev. Colson Leach. Dick will be laid to rest immediately following the funeral service at Immanuel Cemetery, in Cedarburg. Memorials to Faith Baptist Church, Port Washington, or Upper Peninsula Veteran’s Memorial, Attn: Dennis Larson 609 Kennedy Rd., Iron Mountain, MI 49801. Dick was born on December 29, 1928, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, the son of the late Horace Rogers and the late Evelyn (nee Grigg) Rogers. He served his country in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict. Dick was honorably discharged from the Army and later was united in marriage to Dorothy Sinclair on April 25, 1953, in Kingsford, Michigan. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Larry, Richard, and Joan. Dick was employed by the Falk Corporation for over 25 years. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, gardening, hunting, was a member of the Saukville Gun Club, and had a great love for his beloved Green Bay Packers. Dick was a man of great faith and was a member of Faith Baptist Church, in Port Washington. Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorothy Rogers, children, Larry (Deborah) Rogers, Richard (Diane) Rogers, and Joan (Dan) Dufner; grandfather of Dan (Tonya), Carolyn (Josh), Katie (Jeff), Craig (Stephanie), Eric (Tera), Emily, and Jakob; and brother, Kenneth Rogers. He is further survived by 20 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The family would especially like to thank the staff at Lasata Care Center for all of their loving care and compassion.
