Richard “Dick” Tillmann passed away peacefully at his home on Monday April 2, 2012 at the age of 83 years. Dick was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 18. 1929 to the late Otto J. and Marjorie (nee Madsen) Tillmann and married Monica “Monnie” Frank on June 25, 1949 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg. Dick was a prominent, hardworking and generous business member of the Grafton and Cedarburg communities owning and operating Ozaukee Excavating in Grafton for over 57 years. Dick also had a love for boating, skiing and traveling around the world. Dick is survived by his children; Donna Tillmann of Silver City, NM, Robert (Cindy) of Grafton, and John (Lisa) of Grafton, grandchildren; Russell Tillmann of Milwaukee, Rachel Tillmann of Fox Point, Grant Tillmann of Grafton, Jessica (Jacob) Peters of Idaho Falls, ID, Andrew and James Tillmann of Grafton, nephew Frederick (Elizabeth) Tillmann, grandnephew James and grandniece Jocelyn Tillmann of Jackson, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife Monnie, brother James and sister Phyllis Tillmann. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory 979 N. Green Bay Ave Grafton on Tuesday April 10, 11 AM. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Grafton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Grafton on Monday April 9, from 4 – 7 PM. Memorials to Portal Industries appreciated.
