Ralph L. Prom

Mr. Ralph Prom of Grafton passed away at his residence early Monday morning, November 18, 2019. He was 85 years old. Ralph was born in the Town of Port Washington on October 17, 1934, son of Nicholas B. and Barbara (nee Schueller) Prom. In April 1957, Ralph enlisted into the U.S. Army Corps and was honorable discharge in February 1963 as a Private First Class, E-3. On February 24, 1968, Ralph was united in marriage to Kathleen “Kathy” (nee Spaeth) at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton. The couple made their residence their lifetime home where they raised their three daughters and made many memories. Mr. Prom followed his love for cars into the automotive industry where he owned the Shell Station and later the Hometown Station in Grafton. He continued his career as a mechanic with his brothers in Port Washington. Mr. Prom was an avid Packer and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed taking family trips up north, going to Florida, and spending time tinkering on any task his family would give him. When Ralph became a Grandpa he enjoyed spending time playing with his grandchildren and taking them on many adventures. Ralph is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathy, their three daughters: Rhonda of Menomonee Falls, Lisa (Jay) Dickmann of Saukville and Jill (Nick) Doherty of Port Washington and their grandchildren, Alyssa and Taylor Dickmann and Noah Doherty. He is further survived by his sister-in-laws Mildred Prom and Delores Prom both of Port Washington, brother-in-law Michael (Carol) Spaeth of Watertown, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Barbara Prom and five brothers; Clarence, Wilbert, Herbert, Marvin and Arnold. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 6:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St in Grafton with Visitation at the church from 4:00pm to 5:45pm. Interment will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Grafton. Memorials to St. Joseph Parish or school or St. Jude’s appreciated.
