Phyllis A. Swatek Of Cedarburg. Passed away from cancer peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Phyllis was born August 20, 1928 in Port Washington, the daughter of the late Emil and Frances (nee Mayer) Poull. She married Ralph G. Swatek on June 30, 1951. Dear mother of Peter (Karen), Jo Ann (Bill) Horton, Thomas (Cathy) and Christine (Rich) Mitkey. Loving grandmother of Bill Swatek, Liz, Sarah and Francis Horton; Alyssa and Stacey Swatek and Lena Mitkey. Sister of LuCele Sabel and Shirley Greiveldinger. Preceded in death by her husband Ralph, infant son James, daughter-in-law Ann Swatek and grandson Stuart Mitkey. She was a member of St. Francis Borgia, 1950 graduate of Mount Mary College, active volunteer and community member. Phyllis felt blessed to have a long healthy active life and to have been of sound mind, until the end, able to choose her final chapter. Memorials to St. Francis Borgia Church or School, Wounded Warriors Project, Horizon Hospice or the charity of your choice. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 12:00 (Noon) at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg. Visitation will be at church on Wednesday from 10:00am to 11:45am. A luncheon will follow.
