Philip E. Harrison, of Mequon, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at the age of 86 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at St Boniface Episcopal Church, 3906 W. Mequon Rd., Mequon. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Mequon. A visitation will be held on Friday, at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association or to St. Boniface Episcopal Church are appreciated. Mr. Harrison was born on July 7, 1933, in Huntington, IN, to the late Mr. Harry William and the late Frances (nee Wahrer) Harrison. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Navy aboard the USS Montague AKA (98). While in the Navy he participated in Amphibious Landings in Korea and in the operation passage to freedom upon the division of France into China. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, and served as Commander of Howard J. Schroeder Post 457, Mequon. He also served as Chef de Train of 40 & 8, Voiture 1330. He received his degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering in Industrial Technology. He was also a member of Tau Iota Epsilon. Mr. Harrison was a Charter member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) and held management positions in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing and Project Management. Mr. Harrison is survived by his daughter, Fran Fleischer, son, Edward, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother, Joe, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldine.
