Paul Westphal

Paul R. Westphal, of Cedar Grove, formerly of Grafton for over 50 years, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at the Cedar Grove Gardens, at the age of 91 years. Paul was born on February 16, 1928, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Stanley and the late Clara Westphal. He was later united in marriage to H. Patricia Warren on September 13, 1968, in Milwaukee. Paul was employed by Castle Metals, working as a truck driver for over 30 years. He was a dedicated employee until he retired in 1989. When Paul wasn’t on the road, he could be found either on Lake Michigan or in the woods. He was an avid hunter who loved deer hunting, pheasant hunting, grouse hunting, and rabbit hunting. He also enjoyed spending time on the water, with his beloved wife, Pat, fishing for walleye, trout, salmon, and muskies. Paul loved listening to polka music on his vintage 8 track tapes. He was a true family man who had a zest for life. Paul is survived by his wife, H. Patricia Westphal, children: Wayne (Judy) Westphal, Ken (Dawn) Westphal, Barnie Westphal, Betsy (Bill) Ketterhagen, Paul Eric (Lisa) Westphal, and Claire (Matthew) Wollner; grandchildren: Jeff, Wendy, Chris, Jill, Shane, Shawn, Cora, Emily, Kaitlyn, Michaela, Sarah, and Josiah; great-grandchildren: Alaina, Deryn, Damien, Wyatt, Orion, and Silas. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, son, David Westphal, and five siblings. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020, 4:00 PM at the Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, (979 N. Green Bay Rd.), Grafton. He will be in state on Saturday, from 1:00 PM until the time of service. The Rev. Brent Halverson will officiate the funeral service. Paul will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery, in Milwaukee.
