Paul R. Cyrier

Paul R. Cyrier of Cedarburg died peacefully on November 6th after a brief illness. Born on January 23rd, 1932 in Chicago, IL; he was the only child of Paul and Dorothy Cyrier. He spent his childhood in LaPorte, IN. Paul married Dorothy (Dottie) Griffith on December 27th, 1952. He spent 2 years in the US Navy before returning to LaPorte to start his career and family. Paul was employed by Allis-Chalmers (later Simplicity Manufacturing) as a Draftsman. His career took him to Wisconsin and South Carolina, then back to Wisconsin in 1972. Paul and Dottie raised 2 daughters, Paula and Kathy. Paul was preceded in death by Dottie in 1988. He married Rosa Knudson on December 28th, 1990. Together they blended their families including Rosa’s sons Duane, Dean, David and daughter Lynn. They have 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Paul enjoyed playing sports including baseball, softball, golf and bowling, and was an avid fan of all Wisconsin teams. Paul is survived by wife Rosa, daughters Paula (Bill) Donahue, Kathy (Glen) McClune, Lynn (John) Cammareri, sons Duane (Lois) Knudson, Dean (Patty) Knudson and David (Kary) Knudson. Paul’s grandchildren remember him as a kind, gentle man. His loving presence and support of his family and friends will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 10th at 6 PM at Trinity Lutheran church at N60 W6047 Columbia Rd, followed by a reception at the church. Paul's family suggests charitable donations or any act of kindness. Celebrate Life, pass it on....
