PAUL J. CONWELL Paul John Conwell, age 83, went home to be with his Savior Jesus on Saturday morning, September 13th, 2014. He was born on December 4th, 1930 in Cedarburg Wisconsin. He was the son of Vincent and Johanna (Lennartz) Conwell and brother to Lucille (Ervin) Borleske. He grew up on his family's farm in Cedarburg Wisconsin where he attended a country school in his early years and later the Cedarburg area schools. He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1948 and for a brief time he enjoyed racing stock cars at the Cedarburg fairgrounds race track. He married Joanne Joyce Bublitz in 1950 and they had 7 children together. He was preceded in death by his 3 year old daughter Linda Mae who went to be with God in 1958. Paul was an incredibly hard working man. He often worked a part- time job in addition to his full-time employment. He was employed at EST Company in Grafton, Wisconsin for many years until his retirement . During that time Paul was also a member of the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department, working both as a firefighter and EMT. In his later years after his retirement he worked at Drew's True Value Hardware store in Port Washington, Wisconsin. He was happiest when he was staying busy and helping people. Paul was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Grafton, Wisconsin and served as a deacon for a time. Later he became a member of Cedar Creek Community Church in Grafton, Wisconsin until his death. Over the years, Paul was very involved with the church and Bible studies held at his home. He came to know Jesus as his Savior and fostered his relationship with God for the last 30 years of his life. At the time of his death, Paul was a resident of Anita's Gardens Hospice care in Port Washington, Wisconsin. The family would like to thank the CNAs and staff for their kind and compassionate care in making him comfortable in his final days. His survivors include his wife Joanne, and his 6 children - Sherri Renz, Teresa Westberry, Cynthia (Roger) De Groot, Ricky (Nancy) Conwell, Patrick Conwell, and Traci (Todd) Cater; 13 grandchildren, Dylan (Monica) Renz, Dustin (Brittany) Renz, Nicole Renz, Johnny Westberry, Steven (Debbie) Schwengel, Jacquelyne (Corey) Helgeson, Gillian Franceschi-De Groot, Keenan (Trisha) Conwell, Miles (Mary) Conwell, Owen Conwell, Nolan (Mary) Conwell, Bryce Conwell, and Justin Conwell, and 17 great-grandchildren, Peyton, Reegan, Emerson, Aidyn, Abigail, Claire, Phoenix, Nevin, Haylee, Skyler, Caleb, Mara, Jonah, Ava, Asher, Finn, Cora, his sister Lucille (Ervin) Borleske and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2014 at Cedar Creek Community Church located at 1414 1st Ave in Grafton Wisconsin. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00p.m. Service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials to Cedar Creek Community Church or Grafton Volunteer Fire Department would be greatly appreciated.
