Pat Zaske

Pat Zaske, of Grafton, passed away on November 13, 2020, at the Village Pointe Commons, in Grafton, at the age of 75 years. Pat was born on January 4, 1945, the daughter of the late David Leahy and the late Mary (nee Steil) Leahy. She was later united in marriage to Harold “Harry” Zaske on October 23, 1965, in Renville, Minnesota. Together their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Jamie and Jodi. Pat was a dedicated employee at the Piggly Wiggly’s in both Mequon and Cedarburg for over 25 years, working as their main florist. She built many standing relationships with her customers throughout her career. Pat retired in 2011, and continued with her love for flowers, by taking great pride in always having a beautiful yard full of flowers. Although Pat enjoyed working with flowers, her true love was spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren. Pat is survived by her daughters, Jamie (Paul) DeMars and Jodi Zaske, grandchildren, Micaela and Nikolas DeMars, brother, Jim (Elena) Leahy, and sister-in-law, Spring Billiar. She is further survived by her beloved dog, Charlie, other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry, in 2016, as well as her parents. A private graveside service was held for the family at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, in Grafton. The Rev. Scott Kruse was the presider. Memorials in memory of Pat can be made out to the Ozaukee County Humane Society.
