Norma “Kay” Wymore (nee Ewings) of Richfield, WI, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013, as the result of a brain aneurysm. She was 67. Kay was born May 5, 1946, in Bloomer, Wisconsin. She was the second child of Fred and Bertha Ewings. She grew up on a dairy farm, and loved helping her father and grandfather with the barn chores. After graduating from Bloomer High School in 1964, Kay attended nursing school in Madison, earning her certification as a licensed practical nurse. She was proud of her work as a nurse, and found great joy in caring for others. She retired in June 2012 from a nursing career that spanned 47 years. With her nursing license in hand, Kay moved to Milwaukee to accept a job at a hospital. While living there, she met Richard Wymore, whom she eventually married July 18, 1970, in Glen Flora, WI. From this marriage came two sons, Jason and Marshall, who were Kay’s pride and joy. She was a supportive mother who offered abundant love and gentle guidance. In 2007, Kay welcomed her first grandchild, Elliot, followed by his little brother, Henry, in 2011. Kay loved spending time with her grandchildren and showering them with her love. In addition to spending time with her family, Kay enjoyed reading, sewing and knitting, working the daily crossword, playing board and computer games, creating stained glass masterpieces, and traveling. Kay also enjoyed hunting, and shot many deer, a pronghorn antelope in Wyoming, and an impala in Africa. Kay was a devoted wife, an extraordinary mother, a doting grandmother, a loving sister, and a cherished aunt and cousin to many. She had a profound faith in God, and found comfort in knowing that He would someday call her Home. Kay is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard “Dick” of Richfield, WI; her sons, Jason (Jennifer) of Cedarburg, WI, and Marshall of Wyandotte, MI; two grandsons, Elliot and Henry of Cedarburg, WI; a sister, Shelby (David) Helin of Bloomer; a brother, Thomas (Jackie) Ewings of Bloomer; and an aunt, Mary Ewings, of Rockford, IL. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and special family friend, James Doers of Holcombe, WI. Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bertha, and numerous aunts and uncles.
