Mary J. Lyneis (Nee Holevas) of Grafton, formerly of Cedarburg, died peacefully at Lawliss Family Hospice in Mequon on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the age of 88. Mary was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 23, 1929 the daughter of the late Efthemios and Sadie (Nee Boncel) Holevas. On June 18, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI, Mary was united in marriage to Floyd E. Lyneis. Mary worked as a legal assistant for many years at Castner Law Office. Mary was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan, enjoyed cooking and baking, knitting and visiting Door County. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary is survived by her children: Amy (Mark) Matter, Mark (Monika) Lyneis, David (Denise) Lyneis, Andrew (Christine) Lyneis and Christopher (Nancy) Lyneis; Grandchildren: Nicholas (Kendra) Matter, Nathan (Christie) Matter; Thomas, Megan and Jack Lyneis; Emily and Jed Lyneis; Colten and Kennedy Lawson; Amanda (Dan) Clausing, Andrew “Buck” Jr. and Kelsey (Fiancee Alan Kultgen) Lyneis; Haley (Justin) Erwin and Bradley Karrels; Nicole (Bill) Flesses and Brandon Wellenstein; great grandchildren: Colson Matter, Summer Samens, Emerson Kultgen, Sam Clausing, Hank Matter and Ella Flesses. Further survived by other relatives and many friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Floyd; granddaughter Erika Lyneis and great grandson Braydon Matter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 – 6:00 PM at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church (1375 Covered Bridge Rd. Cedarburg). Family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 PM – 5:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Stop CMV and National Down Syndrome Society appreciated. The Lyneis Family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of St. Mary’s Ozaukee Campus, Sara Chudnow in Mequon and Lawliss Family Hospice.
