Marjorie J. Brown (nee Turner) of Milan Estates in Saukville, formerly of Cedarburg, died peacefully at Horizon Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mequon on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the age of 88. Marjorie was born in Stratford, CT on May 4, 1925 the daughter of the late Carl and Nellie (Nee De Mond) Turner. Marjorie was united in marriage on December 16, 1950 to the late Elwood Brown. Marjorie was a volunteer at Family Sharing in Grafton and was an art teacher at MATC and also taught privately. Marjorie was an active member of Community United Methodist Church and was a Life Long Girl Scout and Girl Scout Leader. Marjorie was an accomplished seamstress, quilter, knitter, painter, and also enjoyed sailing, camping, hiking, traveling, cooking and baking. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Marjorie is survived by her children: Robert (Sharon) Brown of Oostburg, Elizabeth Brown of Clarkfork, Idaho, Pamela Brown of Portland, Oregon, Cynthia (Pat) Kotecki of Port Washington and the late Elwood Brown Jr. Grandchildren: Anna, Jennifer and Laura Censky; Abby and Maggie Kotecki; great grandchildren: Nolan and Elwood. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 – 6:00 PM at Community United Methodist Church in Cedarburg. Rev David Blackmer officiating. Family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 4:00 PM – 5:45 PM. Memorials to Community United Methodist Church or Family Sharing of Grafton appreciated.
