Lucille G. Mcdaniel

Lucille G. McDaniel (Nee Struck) of Grafton, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the age of 79. Lucille was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 4, 1937 the daughter of the late Harold E. and Verona G. (Nee Mehrens) Struck. Lucille was united in marriage on July 17, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Gilbert J. McDaniel. Lucille worked for many years at Briggs & Stratton and in her later years enjoyed working and volunteering at the numerous Family Tree Facilities. Lucille and her late husband Gilbert enjoyed traveling to Carter, WI to admire the beauty of the north woods and the wildlife. Her loving dog Sammy would always be at her side no matter where she was going. Most importantly, Lucille loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the love of her life. Lucille is survived by her loving children: Debbie (Allen) Schmitz, Gilbert (Deb) McDaniel and Gail (Kevin) Buelow; Loving Nannie to: Jennifer (Josh) Varner, Josh (special friend Mindy Steffen) McDaniel, Jessica (John) Otte, Jeremy Jaeger, Matthew (special friend Krystal Altenbach) and Austin Buelow; Proud great Nannie to: Emelia Jo Otte and Vivian Lucille Varner; Dear sister of Larry Struck, Richard Struck and Darlene Crawford. Further survived by other relatives and many friends. The family of Lucille would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Compassus Hospice Care for their loving care and compassion during her final days. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 – 6:00 PM at Pilgrim United Church of Christ (1621 2nd Ave. Grafton). Family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 4:00 PM – 5:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Starting Point/ Healing Point House or Gift of Adoption appreciated. Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory of Grafton is assisting with the services.
