Lois M. Gara

Lois M. Gara, of Cedarburg, passed away on October 23, 2008 at the Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg, at the age of 87 years. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date at the Peter Wollner American Legion Post #288 in Cedarburg. Memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated. Lois was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 10, 1921, to the late James and the late Estelle Manders. She later married the late Frank Gara Jr., who passed away in 1999, and their marriage was blessed with two sons, Michael and Frank Gara III. Lois owned and operated her own antique store which was located in Cedarburg. Lois is survived by her sons, Michael (Nancy) Gara of Weston, Florida, and Frank Gara III of Milwaukee, grandchildren, Katie Gara of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Scott Gara of Milwaukee, sister, Marion Adams of Montana, niece, Peggy Wiebelhaus also of Montana, and special friends: Wendy Sieg, Jill Foeger, and Tarq Durante. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends. Memorials: Memorialsto the American Cancer Society are appreciated. Service: Private Services will be held.
