Lois K. Jung

Lois K. Jung passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 9, 2020 at the age of 88. Lois was born in Oak Park, Illinois on October 26, 1931 to the late Elmer and Grace (Holt) Kinney. Lois was a graduate of St. Olaf University where she majored in English, Art and Music. She received her teaching certificate and began a career of teaching in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Her family vacationed at South Twin Lake in Phelps, Wisconsin, where a friend introduced Lois to Ray, and their life together began. Lois married Ray in 1956, moved to Cedarburg, and began teaching in the Thiensville and Cedarburg School Districts. As time went on, Lois changed careers and began working at the family furniture business. Lois was active in many church activities. Her love for scripture, studying the gospel, and teaching, always motivated her to prayer and spreading God’s love. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years Ray, and her brother Robert. She is survived by her children; Raymond (Lynn), Alice (Jeff Standafer), Charlene (Dan Henneberry), and Philip; along with Seven Grandchildren; Robert (Kelli), Emily, Rebecca Standafer, Timothy (Rachel) Standafer, Thomas (Izzy) Standafer , Ethan and Kylee Henneberry. The family wants to express their thanks to mom’s special friends who have shown her so much love with visits and care that allowed her to remain in her family home. God bless all of you. A private family graveside service will be held at Zur Ruhe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Lois name to the charity of your choice. Lois’ favorite charities were Gideons International, Compassion International, First Immanuel Lutheran Church, and Samaritan’s Purse.
