Lillian “Lil” Iva Savadil (nee Malzahn),

Of Mequon, passed away on March 2, 2024 at the age of 84. She was born on April 25, 1939 in Fargo, North Dakota. She was united in marriage to Clarence Savadil on June 2, 1962. Together their marriage was blessed with two children, the late Denise (Michael) Cifuentes and the late James.


At an early age, her aunt and uncle from Hales Corners, Beatrice, and Henry Geskermann, brought Lil into their care. Lil grew up on the south side of Milwaukee and graduated from South Division High School. Lil was very active during her youth by attending Our Savior Lutheran church. After high school, she spent several years at a bible missionary in Minneapolis. She returned to Milwaukee and had a career being an assistant and secretary to the senior officer at Manpower, Inc. She was also very active on the board of the former Children’s Hospital on 17th and Wisconsin. During her time on the board, she raised money for the new Children’s Hospital. Because of Lil’s talents, she opened her own stained-glass store in Cedarburg, Studio Six, where she created multiple stained-glass art. One of Lil’s hobbies was golfing, you could find her at Tripoli Country Club multiple times a week, playing 18 holes. Aside from golfing, Lil’s one true hobby was cooking. She spent a lot of her time cooking dinner parties on her patio and even developing her own cookbook.


Lil will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Clarence, along with her grandchild, Chistopher, son-in-law, Michael, and her sister-in-law, Diane Savadil. She is further survived by her brother, Fred Geskermann and many friends.


She is preceded in death by her two children, James, who passed away after osteogenic sarcoma at the age of 13 and Denise, who unexpectedly passed away last year. She is further preceded in death by her aunt, Beatrice and Henry Geskermann.


There will be a memorial service for Lil on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Thiensville, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Ozaukee County (https://www.co.ozaukee.wi.us/244/Aging-Disability-Resource-Center-ADRC).
