Leona T. Heidtke

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009, 6PM at Davids Star Ev. Lutheran Church in Kirchhayn, for Leona T. Heidtke, of Jackson, who entered into Eternal Life on January 6, 2009, at the age of 89. The visitation will take place on Friday, at the church, from 3-6PM. Interment will take place at Davids Star Ev. Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Davids Star Ev. Leona was born on November 27, 1919, in Jackson, to the late Edwin Voigt and the late Alma (nee Kannenberg) Voigt. She later married the late Harold H. Heidtke on August 29, 1942 at Davids Star Ev. Lutheran Church. Their marriage was blessed with three children. Leona was a lifelong resident of Jackson as well as a lifelong member of Davids Star. Leona is survived by her children: Doris (Clif) Koeller, Raymond (Jan) Heidtke, and Earl (Pam) Heidtke, grandchildren: George Koeller, Jonathan (Debi) Koeller, Rachel (Eric) Demmon, Ryan (Terri) Heidtke, Ronald (Julie) Heidtke, Sarah (Michael) Forte, Kristi (Matthew) Smith, and Emily Heidtke, great-grandchildren: Marianna and Luke Koeller; Logan and Amber Heidtke; Kaylee and Quinton Heidtke, and Caleb Dennom, and brother, Wally (Ginny) Voigt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, grandson, Michael Koeller, and sister-in-law, Vera Voigt. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials to Davids Star Ev.
