Leona B. Lumpe

Leona B. Lumpe of Cedarburg passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg at the age of 99 years. Leona was born in Chippewa Falls, WI on March 21, 1917 to the late Edward & Ida (nee Rheingans) Heidtke and married the late Fred H. Lumpe on November 4, 1939 at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Leona & Fred together owned and operated Lumpe Electric in Cedarburg from the late 1930’s to the early 1970’s. Leona was also a long time active member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Leona in survived by her sister; Clarice (Herb) Holz of Mesa, AZ and brother Murray (Ruth) Heidtke of Cedarburg. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by brothers; William & Martin, and sisters; Viola and Florence and special friend Don Tamsen. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 10, 6 PM at First Immanuel Lutheran Church W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd. Cedarburg. Interment will be at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday May 10, from 4 – 5:45 PM. Memorials to the church appreciated. The family would especially like to thank St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital as well as the staff at Lasata Care Center for all of their care and compassion.
