Kennith Edwin Wacha (May 9, 1934 – October 22, 2018) Kennith Edwin Wacha was born into eternal life on October 22, 2018, at the age of 84 years, surrounded by his wife, Elaine (Jonas), and loving family. Ken, also known as Kenny, was born May 9, 1934, in Schuyler, NE to Thomas E. Wacha Jr. and Mildred L. (Will) Wacha. Ken met the love of his life, Elaine, at Schuyler High School and they graduated in 1952. Following high school, Ken joined the U.S. Navy where he served for two years on a fueling vessel stationed in the Mediterranean. He was very proud of his service to his country and was honorably discharged in August 1954. When he returned to Nebraska, he was reunited with the woman he loved so dearly, and they were married on January 14, 1956. They lived together in Omaha, NE until May 1969 when he received a promotion at Continental Can (Crown Cork & Seal) and moved his family to Cedarburg, WI. The family enjoyed spending time together boating, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling. Ken retired at the age of 58 after 38 ½ years at Continental Can. He enjoyed retirement traveling around the world with his wife to places like Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Mexico, as well as exploring the U.S. When they weren’t traveling, Ken loved to spend his time helping others and volunteering at Lasata Senior Living Campus. His mission in life was to make everyone smile every day. Ken is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Thomas Wacha III; his sister-in-law, Marilyn A. (Bird) Wacha; and nephew, Thomas Wacha IV. He is survived by his wife; their four children, Cindy (Brad) Mayer, Mary (Tony) Alwin, Jay (Selena) Wacha, and Terrie (Brian) Hutchison; 12 grandchildren, Chad, Nicole, Megann, Jason, Michael, Sara, Katie, Natalie, Lindsey, Joseph, Kelsey, and Alex; 7 great-grandchildren, Peyton, Ethan, Ty, Pheebie, Artthur, Iirma, and Elaine; and niece, Julie Foreman. His sole goal in life was to keep his family as close as possible. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, WI on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Visitation will be from 12:00pm – 2:00pm, with a brief service to follow. Burial service will proceed to Immanuel Cemetery where Ken will be laid to rest with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Wisconsin are appreciated. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Lasata Crossings Assisted Living and the Memory Care Unit at the Lasata Care Center. In Ken’s favorite words, “Ye Ba De Ba De! Th-Th-That’s all, Folks!”
