Kenneth R. Zylka, of Grafton, passed away on February 16, 2014, at the Aurora Medical Center, in Grafton, at the age of 70 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014, 6:30PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Grafton, with Father Mike Barrett presiding. The visitation will take place prior to the Funeral Mass, at the church, from 2:30PM until 6:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Ken. Ken was born on November 25, 1943, in Milwaukee, the son of Marguerite (nee Hagedorn) Zylka and the late Raymond Zylka. He graduated from Boys Tech High School, in Milwaukee and went on to work for Kleen Test Products Inc.. Ken was later united in marriage to RoseAnn Kirchner on September 19, 1964, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Brian, Debra, Lisa, Mark, and Scott. Ken was employed by Kleen Test Products Inc. for nearly 52 years, working as the Director of Engineering. He enjoyed bowling, spending countless hours with his wife on his trike motorcycle, as well as making many fond memories at their cottage on Lake Winnebago. Ken is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, RoseAnn Zylka; children: Brian (Kris) Zylka, Debra (Mark) Albers, Lisa (Michael) Wicke, and Scott (Susan) Zylka; grandchildren: Sarah and Rachael Zylka, Alyssa and Hannah Albers, Brandon, Megan, and Justin Wicke, Ashley, Brittany, and Zachary Zylka, and Benjamin and Adam Zylka; mother, Marguerite Zylka, and siblings: Dennis Zylka, Raylene Gurjanow, and Elaine (Ken) Redlich. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Raymond, and his son, Mark Zylka. As dad is now resting comfortably above with his beloved son, Mark…we can still hear him saying “Nine outta Ten Times”. He will be missed but never forgotten.
