Kay S. Christensen

Of Port Washington, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024 at the age of 55 years.

Kay was born on November 11, 1968, the daughter of Murray and Ruth (nee Lewin) Heidtke. She graduated from Cedarburg High School and went on to attend UW Milwaukee with a degree in Finance.

Summers were Kay’s favorite time of the year, she enjoyed waterskiing early on in life. Other things that Kay loved were flowers, and outdoor music venues with her good friends.

Kay is survived by her parents, Murray and Ruth (nee Lewin) Heidtke, siblings: Linda Wendlandt, Shirley Crosslen, Ed Heidtke and Cheryl (Michael) Flaherty; nieces and nephews: Matthew (June) Wendlandt, Michael Wendlandt, Jamie (Kevin) Haim, Andrew Crosslen, Mitchell Flaherty; and great niece, Josie Wendlandt.

Kay was preceded in death by her brother in laws, Timothy Crosslen and Dennis Wendlandt.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 2:30 PM, at Mueller Funeral Home& Crematory, W63N527 Hanover Ave., Cedarburg. A private family inurnment will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Mequon. A visitation will take place, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the funeral home from 1:30 PM until the time of service.

The family would especially like to thank Kay’s neighbors for all of their help, care, and concerns throughout these past few years.
