Joseph J. Tinebra

Grafton, Wis. – Born on January 23, 1934 in Oak Park, Illinois, Joseph John “Papa Joe” Tinebra returned home to Our Heavenly Father on February 20, 2020 at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred C. Tinebra - nee Maria DeFrancesca & Peter Tinebra, his brother, Peter (Jacquelyn) Tinebra, and sister-in-law Irene Tinebra and many dear family and friends. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Donna Mae Tinebra – nee Cowen, his twin brother Carl (the late Irene) Tinebra, his younger brother Paul (Mary Lee) Tinebra, and his 5 children – Paul (Susan) Tinebra, Tina (Thomas) Zausch, Donna (William) Wallock, Jo Marie (Stanley) Dziewa, and Joseph (Karla Morrison-Tinebra) Tinebra. Papa Joe is also survived by his 13 grandchildren for which he was an adoring and proud grandfather – Kathleen (David) Stinebrink, Christopher Zausch, Annie (Garan) Chivinski, Angela (Richard) Horner, Matthew (Amanda) Tinebra, Joseph Wallock, Maria (Matthew) Memmen, Jacob Dziewa, Adam Dziewa, Jeffrey (Hailey) Morrison, Laurie Wallock, Haley Tinebra, and Josie Tinebra. Also, Papa Joe is survived by 10 great grandchildren for which he was lovingly known as “Great Papa”. His great grandchildren are – Lucy Stinebrink, Noah Stinebrink, Kammie Chivinski, Sophie Chivinski, Olena Chivinski, Diana Memmen, Luke Stinebrink, Walter Memmen, Eloise Stinebrink, and baby Chivinski. As well as, two step-great grandchildren, Cole and Nadia (Horner). Joseph’s faith, family, and country were the epicenters of his life. Joe served in the United States Army as a Private Second Class from 1956 to 1957. Joseph worked for 40 years at the American Can Company as a shift supervisor and lithography consultant; he also held countless other jobs throughout his life to support his family. Joseph prided himself on his large family, all of whom still remain very close. Large family gatherings were his favorite just so he could sit and watch his family shower each other with love, support, and laughter. Faith in God was the guiding light during Joseph’s life, especially during his long-time battle with cancer. God blessed Joe with 16 years beyond the doctor’s original prognosis. After retiring, Joseph enjoyed collecting golf clubs and hitting the links with his brother, his sons and sons-in-law, his grandchildren, and his friends. Joseph will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. His legacy will live on through his family and the lives of all those he has impacted. From Papa Joe and his family to you all, God Bless You.
